The freezer was easy to set up and get going. Works great and is very quiet. It looks nice and is going to be a lot less expensive to run than our old one. The temperature is easy to set and the capacity will be plenty for our needs.

It keeps meat cold so far. Not happy that it does not have an audible temp alarm like the model from 2021 did. That's a huge loss. The light on the inside could be brighter.

Very disappointed in this product. Had freezer for 5 months and then the nightmare began. Had multiple GE employees come out to diagnose the problem. Ultimately the compressor was shot, after 5 months which they say is a $700 fix, on a $900 freezer. I did contact them 1 time in the year warranty time in which a guy came out, he Ordered butane, got delivered to my house a week later, at that time the freezer seemed to be working so I cancelled the technician at that moment because it seemed odd to have a technician out when it was actually seemed working up to par. It lasted about another month, I list a whole hog worth of meat and other stuff as temps dropped and stopped working again for the second time. Shortly after I was called to serve for the U.S Army in Afghanistan off and on. The freezer sat in my garage not working still, but was not a priority since I was not around. Now it™™s been about 3 years. Technician came out and says there is nothing they can do to help me except charge me $700 for a new compressor install, since™ I waited so long to call.™ According to my technician. It™™s a disgrace as a company to sell a product this faulty with a 5-6 month shelf life and still not take care of your customers after the malfunctions happen.

What A nice freezer. When it was delivered, they set it up and left it still has not cooled down.I can get it down to 10 degrees but that's as low as it will go. We called GE consumer Relations and could not even understand them. Now I'm stuck with A hot freezer and rotten meat GE want do anything. At least that's what I was told. All I can say is buyer beware G.E has gone downhill in the last few years. Customer service is so bad you don't even want to call them when you get them on the phone you can't understand them. Sounded like Chinese dialect.

Freezer holds plenty. Seal and indicator light failed shortly after purchasing. Frost is definitely an issue but would be expected with a low quality seal. Product loyalty is about the details in today's world with the expectation of replacement of major appliances more than once before children are of age to be on their own.

I purchased one of these for around $1000 dollars, lasted 14 months and compressor went out. Called GE and they sent rep out to look at repairing it. $968 to replace compressor and labor. I wouldnt purchase this or any GE products at this point. I went with it due to the highest reviews but i feel things should last longer than 14 months of use with a full calf processed in it.

I have owned this freezer since April 2020 and already needs a compressor. 4.5 years and that is all we can get out of these products. My parents have a freezer from 1977 and it still works to this day without any issues. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Find an old one they work forever.

the product is working well for the 3 days we have had it. The product has a superficial dent in the top door from shipping but does not seem to. Be impacting freezer function. The customer service agent - Kimberly was excellent to work through that with.

Purchased this freezer after discovering only days before our daughter™™s graduation party that our 40 yr old freezer was toast! It is overall a bit narrower (front to back) and not as deep as old one but the 2 baskets were essential to me! Wish the shelf of the converter side had a wall to keep items in place like old one had. I™™m sure it will be much more energy efficient and hope it will last another 30+ yrs!

I am giving this freezer a one star rating because it is a replacement for the one I purchased on June23,2023. That unit was JUNK from the start. The compressor was replaced twice along with the dryer. The thermostat was replaced twice. I had a total of SIX service calls on the unit and GE refused to junk it untill the last service call. At that point they said it was non-repairable. We moved the contents in and out of that unit way too many times. They sent a replacement (thaat I am reviewing now) that arrived on March 28, 2024 and I can only hope it runs like my old 35 year old Sears unit. They want a review when you register the produce - I gave the first one a five star review, and it is possible in six months I would give this REPLACEMENT a five star review; however, at this point I almost expect it to be another piece of junk! I only hope I am wrong and it performs like it is supposed to. If and when it proves to be a good unit I will change my review - but till then-------

This thing is super spacious! I could easily fit over 300 lbs of meat in there, and still have room for more. It also has a locking mechanism, in case you don™™t want nosey people seeing what you have stored in there. I plan on buying a couple more, definitely!
