The installer and other repair people have tried multiple times to fix the oven temp. The dial is stil 25™° lower than oven temp. Flimsy metal construction- the door to the bottom "pan holder" feels like it could tear. There is no alert that the oven has reached it's warm up temp, a red light just goes off on front panel. And there's no clock or timer. I hate this stove.

Glad to have a coil Range replacement of our old one. Yet there needed to be an immediate notification that the oven causes the knobs panel to be extremely hot and the back right burner is also very hot as they are near the Heat vents. Did not know that until the technician came out due to hot concerns. Thank goodness there was not any harm done and no children near.

I just moved in to my new apartment
and the layout of the stove is wonderful, I like the color black it match with my Frigidaire
this is my first stove ever and I like it, its easy to clean easy to use and the stove has been working prefect for me

GE 30" Free-Standing Electric Range, model JBS460DM3BB, is a good basic coil range. The range features the control knobs on the front of the range. The oven knob has the temperature on the dial which makes it easy to see the temperature setting and there is a light that indicates when the oven is heating. Unfortunately, the oven light does not come on when you open the door. You must use the light switch instead. It has taken a few months to determine consistent oven temperature. It does seem to be off by 50 degrees.
The burner knobs have the setting on the range, because of this placement it can be difficult to see the setting unless you lean down. Two of the burners heat quickly and the other two are slow to heat.

Understanding that this is a basic stove and isn't going to include some features, there are still some improvements that could be made. One would be to have the dials in front be easier to read. If you're tall, as I am, you can't easily see where the dial is pointing. Something as simple as a little color at one end would help immensely, and at minimal cost. The other thing is that the back, vertical extension (above the cook surface) is taller than it needs to be (it's entirely cosmetic). A shelf we had installed between our previous range and the range hood will no longer fit. I know that's a situation that won't apply to everyone (or maybe anyone) reading this, but I thought it worth a mention.
As far as the how the range works, well, the fact that it works is an improvement over the very old range it replaces. It's great to have four burners and an oven that all work. Everything seems to heat up quickly. We don't need a self-cleaning oven, a clock or anything else fancy. If you're looking at this range you probably don't either.
