Hard copy manual needed

I was not given a hard copy manual, so it's added time to look up the model # etc online to try to find the topic(s) for using the oven. For instance, cleaning the oven has been challenging, as stuff sticks to the oven's coating verociously. I've used Dawn with hot water many times for recent stains, plus some other usual cleaners, for more than an hour of perpetual cleaning, and some still remains. I had to reserach how to turn it on., set the timer, etc. Otherwise, the baking has been very satisfactory.

I have just had oven installed 3 weeks ago and I was in the middle of baking chicken wings when the oven just completely shut down! And I don™™t know why this happened when it is brand new oven!

The oven functions well, the only reason I didn™™t give it 5-star is that it takes a long time to pre-heat. However, I™™m not used to other new ovens so it may be that all new ovens take longer to preheat than older ovens.

When I called about the issue of the racks scraping the sides of the inside oven, The GE repairman said it tells me in my owner's manual too apply vegetable oil to the sides. I don't like what it is doing to the inside of my oven even though I have done that. Am I supposed to apply vegetable oil every time I use the oven? it is a beautiful oven and works great.

Contacted GE customer service because the racks in our brand-new oven were extremely tight going in. They scratched the oven sides. There was no clearance. The lower one was stuck in.
The repair man ordered new racks saying they may be stainless and perhaps fit better. The new racks arrived, identical and had the same fault. The repair man said there is nothing else he can do. We sent pictures to GE and documented the problem.
GE customer service said it was not a fault but offered a nominal dollar amount to close the issue. We then discussed it with Best Buy appliance store. They offered to replace the oven. Which they did and the replacement oven was fine. Racks moved freely, the problem was not the racks but with the original oven housing itself. The replacement oven works fine, and we now use it frequently.

I found it pretty sad that when a customer orders a product they have to look it up online and PRINT the USER GUIDE.
Also JKS3000 for a 27" model isn't helpful.
I worked for a major HVAC MANUFACTURER in technical support (retired 2022) and most OLDER CUSTOMERS aren't able to do that.)
Also trim kits or access to them would be beneficial.
I replaced a Modern Made 1993 model - still working but my wife wanted Stainless so she ordered it and I installed. Hope it lasts that long whoever buys the house.

oven works great-----but their handbook should explain how to manually set bake temp with numbers---figured it out on my own. hit bake then punch in 3 numbers i.e.425 start to preheat to 425 degrees other than that works great even if I do not use sabbath mode or smart set

Failed after 3 months. Had to battle GE for a replacement because they wanted to make a repair which would leave the interior damaged. Finally received a replacement unit but their technician didn't know how to wire it so I had to hire an installer for $175.00. GE said they would reimburse $75.00 which again is unacceptable. Not my first issue with GE. Never again.

The oven face started ™flapping™ because you use a sticky strip on the bottom which was not sticking. Service guy ruined it more by putting a screw in it and broke the glass! Parts ordered but still not here. My oven works but looks terrible. Not happy! It™™s been weeks like this! Boooooo

This is a solid oven. Easy to operate and see controls. The app allows me to change the oven settings or turn it off if I am not in the room. It heats up quickly and seems to cook things evenly. I have a stove as well as this wall unit and I seem to use this twice as much since my other oven is a lot larger and takes a lot longer to heat up. While I have no had it long enough to try out all the features, I used it over the holiday and was able to load it up with multiple sided and then finish off with baking the pie. After that, it cleans up beautifully.

GE27INCH WALL OVEN: Takes very long time to heat up to desired temperature. Oven blows hot air from a vent on the bottom during cooking and for at least an hour after the oven is turned off. The vent extends the full width of the oven. It heats the house up so much that air conditioning has to be increased to offset the heat. The oven cooks fine but I hate using it because of the hot exhaust from the oven. I would not have purchased this oven if I had known about the heat exhaust issue.

It takes 12 minutes to preheat the oven. the bake function is set to 350 degrees and its very confusing how to set a higher or lower temperature. There is no instruction manual with the oven - you must go online and print it out - but the web address provided is wrong. There's a typo - its actually GEAppliances NOT GEAppliance. There's also no customer service - you will go in loops and never get to anyone who can answer a regarding a problem.

I previously had this model oven, and the main board failed after 9 years. I have not yet gotten experience with this, though I tried out the basic functions that my old oven had. This one also includes app functionality (Oooh).
I chose this model because it has the same dimensions as my old model (it fits in the same hole). I was happy with the performance of my old oven, and assume 9 years is a good run with all the fancy doodads.

Honest Review: Not for Serious Bakers I bought this oven over a year ago, and if you're planning to use it for baking, you may want to look elsewhere. The oven temperature fluctuates badly™"cakes are hit or miss, and mostly miss. Precision baking is nearly impossible, and even simple recipes turn out uneven. It™™s been a frustrating experience, especially when consistency matters. I called GE couple times. On the first visit their service tech replaced the thermometer. On the second visit the tech replaced the electronics. I had to pay for both visits as the oven is over a year old

I installed the oven myself in a new cabinet under a cooktop in our cabin. The instructions we spot on even though I double checked the measurements on the actual oven before cutting the cabinet. Actual and printed measurements were the same. We've used the oven several times and it heats up quickly and cooks on temperature. We cooked chicken, cookies and brownies, and everything cooked as it should and turned out great. I turned on the WiFi and while this is a nice feature and you can monitor and turn on/off your oven remotely it's probably something I won't use. I'm not a fan of the ceramic grates for easily pulling them in and out even though they are coated with vegetable oil. I'm actually putting baking dishes in and out without pulling the grates out towards to door. The oven opening is large enough to add/remove items without moving the grates. In my opinion this is a design flaw. I knew about this from reading reviews before I purchased the oven, so I knew the fix I would use when using at as I've said above. That's my reasoning for giving this a 5 star rating.

i am not in the least happy with this oven . I can set the temp for 350 and try to bake cookies or cake . it does not hold this temp . I notice that these items are not baking . I reset the temp and it has gone down to 293 and it is still going down . i spoke with Percy's where I bought it . They sent ot someone to fix this problem . unfortunately he did NOTHING to fix my problem. I have company coming this Tuesday and I have a class reunion next week-end that I have a lot of baking to do . This oven was a big expense for us and we are not happy .

So far all is great. Temperature has held true and controls are intuitive. Not sure how much I™™ll use the WiFi feature but good to know I can have a pre warmed oven ready if I come home with a pizza. I did not have any of the door trim issues that a few others had. My only problem was related to installation. This wall oven replaced a GE 27™ one from 1979. The cabinet opening dimensions on GE™™s website indicated that this new oven would fit into the old model # opening. Wrong! The width and depth were accurate but the new oven required an additional 1 7/8™ in height. I was lucky to have installers who were able to cut the opening in such a way that the install could happen and the upper cabinet could be rebuilt at a later time. The installers said this happens frequently with GE wall ovens so double check if this is a replacement and not new construction install!

Very nice oven! Bakes well and is easy to use. Install was painless. The oven has scan to cook but so the available items appear to be Nestle family products at this time. I like that the time sets automatically when connected to the internet- no more blinking after a power outage or daylight savings surprises. Looks sharp. A big upgrade from our previous oven. Wish we had purchased this sooner.

I love my new oven. It was guaranteed to fit, which it does. The problem is the drawer underneath the oven no longer can close. I™™m definitely not happy about it and now have to have someone out and pay to have the drawer cut down so it will close underneath the GE oven. Very disappointed as again it was guaranteed to fit and that is exactly why I purchased this GE wall oven.

We™™ve had very good luck with this oven. It™™s a workhorse in a household of 8. Also loved the fact I didn™™t have to remodel my cabinetry. GE/ Hayer does a good job with exterior dimensions for existing homes. My only complaint: when cooking something moist, the controls are affected, often going into timer set mode.
I wish it came with a third oven rack though- it™™s spacious enough to support.
